Big Bear Birthday for mom

Mom and I took a trip to Big Bear for her birthday present. She said all she wanted was a mini vacation, so we left friday afternoon and came home Sunday afternoon. We had a very relaxing and fun time! We walked along the lake every morning before breakfast, and then shopped shopped shopped. We even stopped and scrapped at the local scrap store! We made gifts for friends....my pic below is blurry..bummer! I'll have to retake it!

Spongebob layout

Ok, so this layout I just made has got to be one of my faves...not necessarily because I think It's a great layout, but because It was so fun to make! I am a LOVER of doodling, but I suck at it, so I NEVER doodle on my pages...but when it comes to SPONGEBOB, I think Doodling is pretty much a necessity, am I right? I Think I did a pretty good job of it, and I love my title at the bottom...scraplifted that idea, of course!

I'm a huge fan of Elsie Flannigan's doodling, so I dedicate this layout to her, cause her doodling inspires me and I can't get enough of her blog and her layouts!

Thanks to naptime today, I was able to complete the whole thing in about an hour..woot woot!

ps..all paper is MM, and the stickers are from the dollar store!

Gratitude Journals

A while back my friend Edie surprised me by making me a gratitude journal. It was one of the best gifts I've been given, and I write in it as much as possible, because it ends my day with happy thoughts. I remember the good feeling I got as I received my journal, and I wanted to be able to pay it forward and make a journal for a very amazing friend of mine, so here is the gratitude journal I made today for my friend Cherina.

The journal is a composition book
the paper, rub on, buttons and accessories are from an Autumn Leaves (Foofala) Red black and creme page kit.
The "good life" stamp is from Michaels

Pumpkin patch layouts

Since I'm on a roll, I also wanted to post some of my favorite pages from a Pumpkin Patch 8x8 album I made last year. Easy peasy pages, but still cute!

Autumn Splendor File Folder Mini Album

It's almost my favorite time of year again. You know it....Cool in the morning, warm during the day, nice wind at night...leaves changing colors, pumpkin patch opening up, halloween costume shopping, pumpkin spice candles....oh yeah....can you feel it too?

I decided to post an album I created last year...well, I can't claim the design to it, because I bought the Bo Bunny album KIT at an expo (same design that I recreated with my back to school album several posts back) I changed a few things from the original design, but for the most part, Bo Bunny gets all the credit! Anyways, It's around that time, so I just wanted to share pics of this adorable autumn album! This album is created with all BO BUNNY Autumn Splendor papers and stickers, and 6 file folders!! I love love love the colors in this album and it makes me want to run out to the pumpkin patch and take some pictures!

CKC Phoenix!

I'm back from Phoenix, and what a ride! lol It was a very long weekend, and not a busy convention like we would have hoped, but of course we still had a blast!

First off, our hotel (the Hyatt) was a whopping 2 blocks away from the convention center...this did not stop us from taking the rickshaw (spelled wrong i'm sure) to and from the convention...only cause it was fun, and we were doing the AMAZING RACE with eachother...too freakin funny! Klo was waving to everyone, and even called a man in a suit MAESTRO as we rode by! I about died laughing....the poor drivers had their work cut out for them! haha

I got to meet Melissa Frances (who's chipboard albums I LOVE LOVE LOVE) and Sarah Milne (the owner of Scenic Route!) They were both so nice and we talked for a while and I stole a picture with them...woot woot!

Ya know when you go to a convention and you see these poor husbands and they're only at the convention to hold their wives bags while their wives spend every dime they have and are probably getting a second mortgage out on their house just to pay for convention? Well here is an acception to the norm. This freakin cute little old guy was shopping for HIMSELF and said he was scrapping for years...his shirt was SO OLD and worn out, and he said he wanted to find a new one, but couldn't find any MENS scrap shirts....I asked if I could take his pic, cause I just LOVED him! hehe

Here are some funny pics of us as Pazzles Angels. OMG I had to do some creative cropping cause the "girls gone wild" were getting frisky!

And...a couple other random pics from convention....

Next stop, the Ontario Scrapbooking Expo right here in Southern Cali...wahoo!
